Over the years, the lawyers of Kalis & Kleiman, P.A. have distinguished themselves by  providing sound counsel and ethical representation to individuals, businesses and property owners throughout South Florida, historically within the tri-county area which includes Miami-Dade, Broward and Palm Beach Counties.  With the opening of its Central Florida office in 2006, located in the rapidly-growing Ocala area, the firm is poised to handle complex transactions and disputes throughout the State of Florida in the years to come. Attorneys of the firm have been admitted to the State and Federal Bars within Florida, and collaborate with counsel in other states, on a case-by-case basis, to ensure continuity of care of its clients.

The firm’s practice combines transactional work and litigation, and business and real estate matters comprise the majority of the work in each practice area.  Staples of the transactional practice include entity formation, modification and dissolution, contract drafting, land use planning,  real estate closing representation, commercial loan drafting, commercial lease negotiation and other services required to fulfill the needs of its clients, many of which have been firm clients for decades.

The firm provides two additional services for its clients who are involved in real estate transactions: Managing Partner Scott Kleiman provides mortgage brokerage services through Attorney Mortgage Services, a direct lender, to qualified residential purchasers.  Also, the firm partners own a subsidiary, 1st Trust Title, that specializes in residential and commercial title insurance, real estate transactions and mortgage closings, and is an authorized agent of Attorneys Title Insurance Fund and Ticor Title Insurance.

The litigation aspect of the practice services the needs of individuals, businesses and property owners in a wide variety of settings and subject matters.  Zealous yet ethical representation is provided from inception through trial and appeal-all avenues of alternative dispute resolution are explored which may be of benefit to our clients’ interests.  Contract actions, partnership disputes, commercial evictions, lien foreclosures, insurance and real estate disputes are just a sampling of the matters the firm routinely handles.

Lastly, the firm handles a select few catastrophic personal injury cases at a time.  This is a service provided for those clients who have been seriously injured due to the actions of another.  Construction accidents, motor vehicle collisions and other unfortunate calamities can lead to loss of livelihood, require life-long medical care and alter lives forever.  Only such serious cases are handled, and when engaged, the firm ensure compassionate representation, and the best outcome that can be obtained.
